Green School Award
Live Green,
 Love Green,
Be Green.

We are just mankind…. without the Earth we’re nothing.

Subodh Public School, Airport has been rated Green under Green School Programme organized by Centre for Science and Environment, working in collaboration with HRD Ministry of India and Central Board of Secondary Education.

School is awarded as Green School this year by Green School Programme (GSP Audit) in an Award Ceremony on February 06, 2020 at New Delhi by Ms. Sunita Narain, Director General of GSP.

A matter of great pride for School as,
Ours is ONE OF THE TWO GREEN SCHOOLS from Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Green schools Programme is the one which demands things in progress and a step to take initiative to encourage students participation and helps them learn with joy. Green Schools Programme is based on the twin objectives of ‘Learning by doing’ and ‘Making change work’ to help schools to audit the consumption of natural resources within their premises, and assess themselves as environment managers.

The Performance Report submitted by the school helped the GSP in assessing the initiatives undertaken by the school to concentrate more on measurable changes made over the years in single schools’ green practices rather than creating competitive environment.

Our School believes in:
Talk the Talk
Changed into
Talk the Walk

The school took lot of measures and made efforts to commend resilience in making students and community sensitive to the environment. For all the six sections of the Green Schools Programme Audit – Air, Energy, Food, Land, Water and Waste, the school integrated elements of holistic environment education and linked to the most challenging crisis of current challenge - Climate Crisis.

The school is awarded with ‘Green School’ Certificate on the basis of the following data submission online:
·         ‘Air’ Audit Team worked on finding the data related to air quality in the school premises and surroundings. PUC of school conveyance, conveyance availed by students while coming and going from school, the pollutants emitted by the conveyance used and window-floor ratio of classrooms for fresh air inside the classrooms for the right teaching and learning environment .
·         ‘Energy’ Audit Team focused on conservation of energy and measures followed in the organization to be a Green school. A comparative study of Electricity consumption, Fuel energy and LPG consumption was undertaken by the team. A steep dip in the electrical energy consumption was found after the installation of Solar panels and use of LED tube-lights in the classrooms and the building.
·         To create awareness among students the School initiated new “Prefect Post” for the School Canteen as Calorie Cadets (Captain) as Food Audit Team to keep a watch on the type, hygienic quality of the snacks served, the food students bring in their lunch boxes and their nutritive value, calorie index and other related issues were the main points to be focused upon.
·         ‘Land’ Audit Team took a detailed audit of ratio of site area to plot area, green cover to ground cover ratio, parking and other areas.
·         ‘Aqua’ Audit Team of school took a detailed study of water consumption, methods to keep check wastage of water and promotion of practices for conservation of water and to stop the misuse of this very important natural resource. They mainly worked upon Rain Water Harvesting Plant of the school.
·      ‘Waste’ Audit Team focused on 5 R’s principle of fixing and converting the renewable waste into productive items which can be reused. School has a proper policy of segregation of different kind of waste. Classrooms are well equipped with waste bins.E-Waste like old Smart Boards and White Boards are painted to decorate the school building, packing material is used to prepare decorative items used in Tableau presentation, House Boards, Greeting Cards etc. for various school activities.

Thus it was a great experiential learning for the students and the school community as a whole where we are guiding and preparing future leaders to be more sensitive and concerned for mother Earth and Nature. A true contribution towards
‘What we gain is what we give’
to the future generations for their survival as

Green Students will be Green Citizens.
