Ahimsa - Pex - 2019 - Special Philatelic Exhibition on Gandhian Theme

Special Philatelic Exhibition on Gandhian Theme "Ahimsa - Pex - 2019" was organised by Senior Superintendent of Posts, Jaipur City Division, Jaipur to celebrate 150th birth year of Mahatma Gandhi.  In this stamp designing / drawing competition and quiz were organised. Our school students participated and Vaidehi Joshi of class IX A got first position in Stamp Designing contest among 300 contestants from 16 different participants schools. Happy Republic Day

Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.

The Constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country's transition towards becoming an independent republic.

Where the elephant sleeps

School students had an opportunity to watch the screening of a wonderful film 'Where the elephant sleeps' that captures the agony behind joy rides. The film has been shown in Rajasthan, Delhi and Kolkata and it has been officially selected by Hyderabad World Film Festival 2017. The objective of screening the documentary in different cities is to create awareness to do justice with elephants. Brigitte Uttar Kornetzky, a Switzerland based independent filmmaker, artist, musician, journalist and writer graced the occasion. She is the Founder and President of Elefanten in Not, a charity in Switzerland, and Swiss Ambassador for Captive Elephants at the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisation in India.

The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF)

The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF); the world's largest free literary festival is an annual literary festival which takes place in The Pink City each January. It was founded in 2006; since then it is getting its popularity growing day by day as each event enriches knowledge among it's followers. Our school students visited the festival and got a chance to enrich their knowledge.

ISA: Museum - Untitled treasure of Generalizations

In continuation of International School Activity (ISA) another activity titled "Museum - Untitled treasure of Generalisations" was done in which Indian and Russian museums were shown. Some pics are here to share: 















Robotics

To encourage students developing their knowledge and skills in Robotics; display of robotics and workshop were organised in the school on 12 January 2019. 
Robotics can be used to develop machines that can substitute for humans and replicate human actions. Robots can be used in many situations and for lots of purposes, but today many are used in dangerous environments (including bomb detection and deactivation), manufacturing processes, or where humans cannot survive (e.g. in space). Students and parents took keen interest. 






Small Trade Practice: Students of Aahar Club and Entrepreneurship

To become self employed and stay firm in today's competitive world; students of Aahar Club and Entrepreneurship practiced small trade practice on 12 January 2019. They arranged counters where they sold eatables and practiced setting up of their own start up business. Some of the pics are here worth sharing: 





Life Skills Festival

"Life Skills Festival" from iSmart was organised in the school in which various activities were conducted where parents also played an active role. Both students and parents enjoyed and learnt a lot. 







PTM

Third Parent Teachers' Counselling was done on January 12, 2019. It is a tool to improve the student's performance not only in terms of academics but also co-curricular way. Some of the pics are here:
