Fitness Awareness Session

Fitness Awareness Session
Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.
For any society or Nation to progress, it’s important that their citizens are physically fit. To encourage people to start/ increase physical activity and sports in their everyday lives our Honourable Prime Minister launched “Fit India Movement” nationwide on August 29, 2019.
In the tail of this Mission, Subodh public School, Airport organized fitness awareness session “Fitness Mantra” for the Tiny tots of the school and their parents on November 30, 2019. The session began with Yoga exercises and Zumba for the students and the invited guests i.e. parents, which was followed by various fitness activities for them like Balloon Blowing, Balancing, Throw and Catch Ball etc.
Mothers of the students were divided into two teams and they played Satoliya (Seven Stones) while the fathers played Volleyball. There were some stalls of eatables put up by the students of class XI which contained nutritious juices and salad which too encouraged them to focus on nutritious food.
The parents who participated in the fitness awareness Programme appreciated the initiative taken by the school. They are now looking forward for the ‘Fitness Week’ at school.
