Need for Organ Donation, Process and Myths
It has been estimated that 5,00,000 people in India are annually diagnosed with organ failure needing transplantation as part of life saving measure. A majority of these patients are young where their only hope to a life is by the opportunity of having a transplant of their organ in failure.
Taking the initiative in Rajasthan, Govt of Raj accredited NGO MFJCF (MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum), is working since last three years for this noble cause. With the help of it's efforts in last three years 9 hospitals including SMS Hospital have been registered for Organ Transplantation and with 29 cadaver donations, life of 110 patients have since been saved. Still hundreds of patients are registered and waiting.
Lack of awareness is the main cause of refusal by family members for organ donation which can be improved only with the help of creating Awareness among the society. Awareness drives and workshops are regularly organised to fill this knowledge gap.
Taking it further; Awareness Talk on Organ & Tissue Donation and Transplant in our school was organised to promote of the noble cause. This talk was of around, 1 hour for class 11th, 12th students and teachers.
The details of the awareness session
Topic: Need for Organ donation, Process and Myths followed by Q&A.

IRC School League
IRC School League, over the last few years, has become phenomenally popular with more than 500 schools and 15000 participating students across India. IRC League is in its ninth year of challenging young and creative minds to solve a problem that affects our society. IRC League invites students, coaches and all stakeholders of the society to come together and build a better world for tomorrow using the tools of Science and Technology. In the IRC Open League, children from different schools/centers can form teams to compete, whereas in the IRC School League, all team members have to belong to the same school / activity center. The teams represent their schools/centers and hence the level of competition is higher.
R-ME (Robots in Missions and Expeditions)
This year's theme of the IRC League is to promote the concept of "R-ME (Robots in Missions and Expeditions)". It challenges children to come up with highly advanced yet functional robots for various missions conducted by the Army, Navy and the Air Force. The objective is to design robots and machines that are capable of conducting sophisticated expeditions to strengthen our defences and for rescue operations.
Designing Robots to solve a certain problem statement can be tremendous amount of fun in itself. You end up falling in love with Science and Technology - and rest assured you will have a good shot at being the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg. ...source:http://www.ircleague.com/school-league/...

Jaipur Foundation Day
Every year; on 'Jaipur Foundation Day'; the rich culture and heritage of the State are celebrated with great zeal. There are various cultural programs in the form of dance, music, and various other ceremonies.
This year also the foundation day of Jaipur city was celebrated at 'City Palace' in which students of our school presented folk songs of Rajasthan. Princess Diya Kumari was the Guest of Honour.
There was a quiz competition also in which students of our school won prizes for giving right answers.
Bondage of Jaipurites and Jaipur is very strong. For people residing in Jaipur, it’s an occasion of celebrating the city’s birthday much like they celebrate their own birthdays, especially those who have seen the city’s growth over a long period of time. Our school got the golden chance to celebrate this lovely event.
